The Hologram - A Sci-Fi Short Film

'The Hologram' is a Sci-fi Short Film currently running an Indiegogo campaign to aid in development.

Our first step in building our audience was to take inspiration from those who came become us. My inspirations going into this project came from Blade Runner, Black Mirror and Humans (Channel 4). It was important to consider marketing techniques and how we could sell our idea effectively.

Humans ran an excellent marketing campaign, where they aimed to convince audiences their fictional technology was a reality. We took a similar approach when creating our fictional company Spectrum. Spectrum is a holographic projection systems conglomerate, we made a website, the best way to draw attention to a website in 2021 is Instagram, @Spectrum.Industries. However, we'd need a consistent following before it proved useful, we were gauging an alternative audience to our behind-the-scenes Instagram, @TheHologram_Film.

With the script written and the crew in order, we're ready to shoot our short film. The pandemic has slowed production and forced us to hold back on shooting the whole film until it is over. Our proof of concept will be released in early May, this should attract new attention and help us reach our budget for the remainder of the film!
